Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before acquiring a Qurio piece.
Last updated: April 2026
1. Nature of the Work
Qurio pieces are original works of art — not commercial products, not decorative items, not merchandise. Each piece is a unique 1/1 edition, handcrafted by the artist, individually signed and numbered.
A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies every work, verified through NFC and QR technology. Qurio pieces are classified under HS Code 9703 (Original sculptures and statuary) for international customs. The purchase of a Qurio piece constitutes the acquisition of an original artwork.
2. Purchasing
- All prices are listed in USD. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
- A valid account is required to complete a purchase.
- Once payment is confirmed, the piece is marked as sold and removed from availability permanently.
- Free worldwide shipping is included — fully insured, tracked, signature required on delivery.
- Estimated delivery: 5–14 business days depending on destination.
- Customs duties and import taxes, if applicable, are the responsibility of the buyer — however, original artworks under HS Code 9703 are exempt from customs duty in most countries.
3. Authenticity & Provenance
Every Qurio piece ships with: the original artwork, a handcrafted walnut presentation box, a signed Certificate of Authenticity on 300gsm cotton paper, an NFC verification card, a care instruction card, white cotton gloves, and a microfiber cloth.
Each piece is registered in the Qurio Provenance System — a permanent digital record accessible via QR code and NFC. The provenance record tracks: creation date, materials, edition, acquisition history, ownership transfers, and verification scans.
Tampering with, reproducing, or counterfeiting a Certificate of Authenticity or NFC card is strictly prohibited.
4. Editions & Reproduction
- Every Qurio piece is a 1/1 edition — there is no second edition, no reprint, no reproduction.
- Qurio will never create a copy, replica, or derivative of any sold piece.
- The digital files, 3D models, and design assets used to create each piece remain the intellectual property of Qurio and the artist.
- Buyers acquire the physical artwork only — not the reproduction rights, digital files, or intellectual property.
- Photography of owned pieces for personal use and social media is encouraged — commercial reproduction is not permitted without written consent.
5. Ownership Transfer & Resale
Qurio pieces are original artworks and may be resold or transferred to a new owner. All transfers must be registered through the Qurio Provenance System to maintain the authenticity chain — unregistered transfers void the provenance guarantee.
To transfer ownership: the current owner initiates a transfer through their account, the new owner accepts via email verification, and the provenance record is updated.
Resale Price Policy: Qurio pieces are original artworks with appreciating value. Owners are expected to resell at or above the original acquisition price. Selling below the original price undermines the artist, the collector community, and the integrity of the work. Qurio reserves the right to refuse provenance registration for transfers completed below the original acquisition price.
Qurio does not charge a commission on private resales — however, the provenance system must be used to maintain verification.
6. Masterwork Auctions
- Masterwork pieces (70 × 100 cm) are sold exclusively through timed auctions. Duration: 72 hours.
- All bids are binding — placing a bid constitutes a commitment to purchase at that price if you are the winning bidder.
- Minimum bid increment: $100 USD.
- Anti-snipe protection: if a bid is placed in the final 5 minutes, the auction is extended by 5 minutes.
- The winning bidder must complete payment within 24 hours. If payment is not received, the piece is offered to the next highest bidder.
- A verified account with confirmed email is required to participate.
- Full auction terms: Auction Terms & Conditions.
7. Commissions
Qurio accepts commissions for custom pieces starting at $5,000 USD. The process: submit a vision → receive concept sketches within 1 week (2 revisions included) → approve and pay 50% deposit → creation period (4–8 weeks with progress updates) → final delivery and remaining 50% payment.
The 50% deposit is non-refundable once the creation process begins. Commissioned pieces receive the same Certificate of Authenticity, NFC verification, and provenance registration as standard pieces. The artist retains the right to photograph and showcase commissioned works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Shipping & Delivery
All pieces ship from Istanbul, Turkey. Shipping is free worldwide — Qurio covers all shipping costs. Pieces are shipped fully insured for the full purchase value. Carriers: UPS Express, DHL Express, or FedEx International. Tracking information is provided via email within 48 hours. Signature is required on delivery.
Full shipping details: Shipping & Delivery Policy.
9. Returns & Damage
Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of each piece, standard returns are not accepted. If a piece arrives damaged, the buyer must notify Qurio within 72 hours with photographic evidence. Qurio will arrange a full refund or replacement at no cost. If a defect in materials or craftsmanship is discovered within 12 months, Qurio will repair or replace the piece at no charge.
Full policy: Returns & Refunds.
10. Care & Maintenance
Qurio pieces are designed for indoor wall display. Avoid direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Clean with the provided microfiber cloth — do not use chemicals or abrasive materials. If a piece requires repair or restoration, contact hello@qurio.art.

12. Liability
