Everything you need to know
New to Qurio? Start here.
A Qurio piece is a physical, three-dimensional miniature world — not a print, not a photograph, not a digital artwork. Each piece is a sculptural scene built by hand inside a walnut wood frame. Figures are digitally sculpted, 3D printed at 16K resolution (9 microns per pixel — finer than a human hair), and painted by hand under magnification. The scene is then sealed in crystal-clear layers, each curing for twenty-four hours. The result is a wall-mounted artwork with real depth — typically 4 to 5 centimeters — that you can see into, like looking through a window into another world.
Not at all. A Qurio piece has physical depth. When you look at it from different angles, you see different things — foreground, midground, background, exactly like a real scene. The figures cast real shadows. The layers create real depth. It sits on your wall like a painting, but it contains a three-dimensional world.
Standard pieces are 50 × 70 cm (approximately 20 × 28 inches) with a depth of 4 to 5 cm. Masterwork pieces are 70 × 100 cm (approximately 28 × 40 inches). Every piece is framed in walnut burl wood and ready to hang.
Each piece combines multiple techniques: digitally sculpted figures printed at 16K resolution, hand-painted under magnification, natural materials (moss, sand, stone, crystal where appropriate), crystal-clear epoxy layers, and a handcrafted walnut burl wood frame. We describe the medium as 'layered crystal with sculpted elements' — because that is what it looks and feels like.
Five to seven days, sometimes longer for complex scenes. The crystal layers alone require multiple twenty-four-hour curing periods. Nothing is rushed.
It means there is only one. Every Qurio piece is unique — there is no second edition, no reprint, no reproduction. When a piece sells, it is gone permanently. The digital files and 3D models are never reused to create a copy.
Qurio pieces are original artworks with limited supply — each collection contains only 10 pieces plus one Masterwork. As the artist's body of work grows and earlier pieces become unavailable, historically this creates appreciation in value. We encourage owners to resell at or above the original acquisition price to maintain the integrity of the collection. However, we cannot guarantee future value — art is not a financial instrument.
Yes. Qurio pieces are your property and you may resell or gift them. We ask that all transfers are registered through the Qurio Provenance System — this maintains the authenticity chain and protects both the seller and buyer. Unregistered transfers void the provenance guarantee.
Every Qurio piece has a permanent digital record accessible via QR code and NFC card. This record tracks the piece's entire history: creation date, materials, edition number, ownership transfers, and verification scans. Think of it as a passport for your artwork. When you acquire a piece, you become part of its story.
When all 10 pieces in a collection are complete, the artist creates a single monumental piece — 70 × 100 cm — that captures the essence of the entire collection. This Masterwork is sold through a 72-hour auction, starting at $5,000. It is the crown jewel of each collection.
Browse the gallery or collections, choose a piece, and click 'Acquire.' You will need to create an account (Google, Apple, or email sign-in). Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Once payment is confirmed, the piece is yours.
